The power station was built in 1918, and was, as mentioned, in use till 1986, when it was damaged. It delievered power to the mill and the houses, but it was first of all because of the mill that the power station was built (to replace the big waterwheels). The first mill from the 17th century was run by waterwheels. On the picture you can see the «control panel» in the power station.
This power station delivered 220V equal power. The saw was still using an equal power engine, and because of that it was also not usable after 1986. That was not a big problem, since it wasn't much used any more.
The picture shows the dynamo, which transfers the moving energy to electric power.
This big wheel controlled the power. It was important to ensure that it had the correct speed and stood right. If it didn't, it had maybe gone off it's track and crashed right through the wall... This is where the water came in and was divided in two. It was here the damage occured in 1986.
